Here at Totem Lodge in Long Bay, our official ice out was Saturday, April 30th! On Friday April 29th, we watched through the office windows while the ice slowly retreated, broke up and floated away. This was an amazing treat as for the past few years it has happened over night and we haven’t been able to watch it happening!
On the morning of Saturday, April 30th all of the ice was gone and the staff celebrated with a BBQ! We love it when the ice goes out in April and those warm spring days!
On Sunday, May 1st we set out on the pontoon boat for an adventure into Berry Creek and to get some sun on our pale winter skin. Wiley Point Lodge Manager Dustin Brown was brave enough to even take the first swim of the season!
Now, we are ready for Walleye opener and can’t wait to get fishing! The 2016 Walleye Season opens on Saturday May 21st! With just over a week to go, we can’t wait. Get on the water with Totem Resorts and catch a Walleye like this one! Great job, Renae!
Space still available for opening weekend! Contact our Reservations Department for more information.
